Your tour will kick off at the harbor, where a representative will come to pick you up. Once you settle into your air-conditioned SUV, your scenic road trip across the length of St. Thomas will begin. The small island may just be 31 square miles, but it is loaded with fun things to do and beautiful sights to see. As you drive by the coast, your guide will fill you in on the 3,000-year-old history of St. Thomas. Initially inhabited by the Ciboney people in 1,500 BCE, the islands have been shuffled between the Arawaks and Caribes for long before Christopher Columbus arrived at the ‘New World’. The history is as fascinating as it is tragic and is sure to keep you on your toes. Take in dazzling views of the island from mountain-tops and old architecture Your journey throughout the island will take you to Crown Mountain, the highest point of St. Thomas at 1,556 feet. The views from the viewpoint are sure to leave you completely floored. As you drive along the ‘skyline drive’, explore the spots where Sir Francis Drake watched for enemy vessels and try out some incredible rum cocktails. You will also get a chance to visit the 16th and 17th-century ruins of Blackbeard’s Castle, Fort Christian, and Bluebeard’s Castle!
