Where To Meet

Juneau Mendenhall Glacier Adventure

What you'll do

Transport yourself into a frozen wonderland at Mendenhall Glacier

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive away from the harbor and take in the dramatic, towering views all around you. You will soon arrive at Mendenhall Lake, where a small group will board a canoe and begin to paddle across it to the glacier. The alpine lake is crystal clear and is home to tons of native Alaskan wildlife, which your guide will point out. You will also cross waterfalls, mountains, and chunks of ice as you get closer to the iceberg. Once you cross the lake, begin your short hike up the rocky terrain to get a full view of the glacier! The hike may be steep, but the neverending views of icy gray and blue crevices will make it all worth it. Learn about the different glacial formations from your guide and admire the unique geography of Alaska. If you’re lucky, you might even spot an ice cave! Before you know it, your time at the incredible glacier will be up and it will be time for you to head back to your vehicle.
