Have an up-close look at the mysterious S.S. Sapona shipwreck
After meeting up with our tour guide, you’ll be taken to the site of the famous S.S. Sapona shipwreck via our cruise boat. Part of the Sapona’s breathtaking remnants can be spotted above water, which is where you’ll have a chance to get ready before safely descending into the reef’s depths! Fear not - you’ll be assisted into your snorkeling gear and you’ll have plenty of time to clear up any questions you have with our staff. Following your descent, you’ll be guided through the shipwreck while receiving an interactive history lesson about the S.S. Sapona and its demise. Swim alongside the schools of fish that inhabit Bimini’s waters With a tour of the place, you’ll be fully prepared to mingle with the sea life that has newly rooted itself into the wreckage. The artificial reef is chock-full of all kinds of exotic fish and enchanting plants that you’ll be given a closer look at. Take your time and swim around, or snap a few pictures - it’s completely up to you! The staff is equipped with cameras to capture your best moments without any stress on your end. After resurfacing and returning to the mainland, you’ll have unlimited access to our restaurant and lounge area where you’ll receive a complimentary drink and appetizer to curb any post-swim cravings.
